The Fate of the Tearling is the third and final book in the Queen of the Tearling trilogy. The book is written masterfully by Erika Johansen who by now has already earned great repute in the hearts and minds of his fans and followers. The author has got a few other successful fictional books to her credit. It will be much better to mention here the first two books in the trilogy which are: The Queen of the Tearling and The Invasion of the Tearling.
The narration of this chapter is done by Poly Lee. The change was quite unnecessary as the last performer was quite good and suited for such a novel and its characters. Polly however struggled with this novel and couldn’t give her best here.
Kelsea Glynn has now transformed herself into a very powerful monarch from a gawky teenager. All this transition has happened in less than a year time. As she has come into her own as a headstrong visionary ruler, so she has also completely transformed her realm as well. In her quest to restore justice and end corruption, Kelsea has made a lot of enemies in this journey. The list of enemies also includes the evil Red Queen, who sits right at the top of the list. She had her entire army set against the Tear with full might. This made her the fiercest rival of Kelsea.
The author managed to bring this novel to a great conclusion. Everything was just so perfect about this novel and the entire Queen of the Tearling trilogy. It was just the narration in this ultimate chapter which was a let-down.
