The audio narration of the book is done by Chloe Cannon. The performance will make listeners struggle and it didn’t impress them at all.
The story in this book is of Magie Atwood and Becky McCabe. They both were mother and daughter respectively. They were champion riders and vowed to never in their life go against each other. But then the harrowing, tense competitions happened that led to the Paris Olympics.
Both the mother and daughter had a common dream. They wanted to be the best horsewoman in the world.
The horse of Maggie was known as Coronado. It was a top-notch Belgian breed. Sky on the other hand was the name of Becky’s horse. It was a speedy, but small-sized warmblood from the Netherlands.
The Horsewoman is a beautiful young adult novel at its very best. It comes with exquisite detailing which will mesmerize you a lot. A little better narration could have made this audiobook even more fascinating. It is only James Patterson who could come up with such an outstanding and breakneck speed. The listeners in this novel will experience some hair-raising spills and thrills for sure. On top of that, Mike Lupica, a hall of fame sportswriter could make this story about horsewomen sound so real.
