The Winner’s Crime is the 2nd installment in the Winner’s Trilogy. It is a highly entertaining audiobook for children based on science fiction genre. The book and the mentioned series is written by Marie Rutkoski who has made a good name for herself in front of younger audience. The Winner’s Curse and The Winner’s Kiss are other two novels from Marie Rutkoski that completes the Winner’s Trilogy as well.
Justin Eyre this time has given the narration of this chapter in this 2nd chapter of the Winner’s Trilogy. The performance was enjoyable especially the accents tried which make things more authentic in this book.
A royal wedding is special and something that every girl dreams about. It calls for one celebration after the other that includes fireworks, balls and revelry all through the night, and until dawn. For Kestrel, it actually means to live in a cage of her own. Just as the wedding nears, she wanted to tell the truth to Arin about her engagement. The truth was that she agreed to get married with the crown prince in exchange of the freedom of Arin. But the question arises that is it possible for Kestrel to trust Arin? Or, can she trust even herself for that matter? These questions were quite hard to be answered just as the thing intensifies.
This follow-up novel after The Winner’s Curse book reveals the extensive price of many dangerous lies and then those countless untrustworthy alliances. The truth will be revealed finally and when it does, Arin and Kestrel will learn everything about how much their flaws and crimes would cost them. In short, the younger audience would be on a great joyous ride.
