Most of the lovers of Logan West thriller assumed that the last story was the end of the series as the agent solved a master plan that could have rocked the whole world and its economy.

Matthew Betley chooses a bold issue the one that most of the writers would never have selected as it deals with the character of the vice president of America.
Logan throughout the series in books The Russian and Oath of Honor has never doubted the American government because this is something he believes in. The part starts with a catastrophe in America as the vice president goes missing and the director of the National Security Agency has been shot without any clue of any sort. Good thing is that John Quick has recovered from the shot that he got and that is a big relief for Logan.
The writer once a marine uses all his skills and the past experiences of the army life to portray this awesome mission which is against forces Logan thought he would never deal with. George Newbern can now be called the permanent narrator of the series as he has narrated the whole series and it was because of the narration that the listeners enjoyed it that much.
Mystery and suspense and of secondary importance in this part of the tale because this one is more inclined towards action and thrill. There is no rest for any of the characters whether they are on the right side or the wrong one.
