The book is the last and final chapter of the trilogy and thus concludes the whole much-awaited end of the vampire’s tale. The narrator Charlie Boswell keeps the bloodthirsty tone in the story which was quite essential in order to give more weight to the presentation of the vampire world. The series is a vampire romance in the vampire world that starts with the death of humans and then his/ her transformation into a vampire.
The turning of Siobhan MacLeod into a vampire after her death brings a lot of change in her at once she does not readily adjust to her new bloodthirsty being from a fragile and meek woman. As she understands herself better her relationship with her vampire lover improves all the time. She discovers her power and the change in her nature as well. We in a detail understand the development of negativity and strength in a person in the form of a vampire. The fights with the archangels are surely the main highlights of the whole novel. The way the archangels are left out of the heavens is a new direction to the vampire tales and is unique as compared the rest of the vampire stories you quite often read or listen.
