Mostly Harmless is the 5th installment in the grand and much loved The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. It is a marvelous attempt of writing by the phenomenal author, Douglas Adams. It is not a very long novel in audio but you will be entertained throughout the span of these 6 hours with action packed storytelling and humor by the author. There are plenty of other quality books from Douglas Adams and going through those would definitely make you a fan of the writer for life. A couple of other books from the same series include So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
Martin Freeman is the narrator of this chapter and just like the prior installments, his performance was consistently outstanding. He deserves a special mention for making this series sound so good in the audio format.
Arthur Dent, the prime character of the Hitchhiker’s series makes a terrible mistake which could produce some devastating results for him. The mistake was just that he started to enjoy his life and soon all around him started to break lose. In short, it is all upon him to do something for saving the earth from the complete multi-dimensional eradication. The hostile alien takeover of the planet was threatening as well. It was really a tall order for him to live up to and to make things favorable for him and the world.
The Hitchhiker’s fans would get another round to rejoice themselves with this awesome novel. The New York Times bestselling author, Douglas Adams gives every reason for the science fiction lovers to attempt listening this outstanding novel.
