Shannon Moss is with the case this time a case of a murder and a lost child which is not a rare thing of course as these things are part of a daily routine in the world that is full of criminal acts and hideous deeds.
The dramatic twist in the story is the thing that makes us inclined toward it when this incident become linked with the survival of the whole humanity, thus Shannon does not have to save the girl only but the whole world that is linked with the case.
Shannon discovers the link of the family with time traveling which she too has experienced and still feels the impact of that time travel. But the missing SEAL was the one that was lost in the complexities of time for a while.
