About The Return of the King audiobook
The Return of the King is the final volume in this series of three books written by J. R. R. Tolkien – the Lord of the Ring. The timeless classic novel trilogy has been translated, covered and filmed into many versions. With the budget of about 280 dollars, the film project directed by Peter Jackson gained its great success. There were numerous awards for the entire series of the Lord of the King. But the Return of the Ring was honored to win an Oscar for Best Picture in 2003.
Now for the trilogy’s lovers, you can enjoy the adventure, join the possibilities and open your imagination by its audible books. If you have listened to the first two other parts of the novel trilogy, you are nearly at the end of the battle. Let’s follow Frodo – the brave hobbit, learn how he destroys the One Ring, and fight against the Dark Lord Sauron. Enjoy the classic fine work through modern technology!
Books sorted by the same author
– The Hobbit: This is a fantasy novel trilogy for children, published on September 21,1937. Along with the Silmarillon, the Hobbit is considered as the inspiration and foundation which made J. R. R. Tolkien continue to write the Lord of the Rings. Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, has to join an unexpected journey and faces with a very dangerous dragon…
– The Silmarillon: Edited by his son, this is also one of J. R. R. Tolkien’s notable work. The collection of five parts was officially published in 1977. Although it was written after the Hobbit, due to some misunderstanding by the publisher, the mythopoeic work could not be introduced to readers sooner.
The audio for the second video of Return of the King didn’t come over. There is none 🙁
Hi Christian, i just update the audio again. Enjoy 🙂
Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this until recently. This is infinitely better than the BBC dramatised versions, or Rob Inglis’ version on Audible. So much work must have gone into this. Absolutely amazingly done.
The only very slight criticism I’d have is that a couple of words are pronounced incorrectly (such as draught) and sometimes the music/sound effects drown out the reading (around Shelob’s Lair). Other than that, easily 5 stars.
I loved every minute of this audiobook.
Wow, i’m very happy to hear that <3
Hi, I do love listening to these books as well as your wonderful free service. But, I can’t help but wonder if using the soundtracks aren’t direct copyright infringements?
We do not upload direct on YouTube to avoid copyright infringements. On this website, if we receive a correct copyright claim, i will remove them.
This reading brings tears to my eyes and a great sadness at the end. Just beautiful.
🙁
Return of the King 5-9 on youtube has no sound
I fixed it, could you check it?
this site is not bad no pause breaks so far
Yay, i’m really happy to hear that
Brilliant audio book, thank you 🙂
Excellent x 3!! I’ve very much enjoyed these audiobooks. THANK YOU.
You are welcome
Hi! This audiobook is AMAZING. Thank you very much!
Is there a way to download the audiobook? It’s probably obvious but I don’t see it.
Many thanks
Really nice and soothing and it really helps me read the book itself!
Have you deleted the tracks? I can’t find them in soundcloud..
5 and 6 so far the audio cuts out
Ohhhh laddie I was there. I was there during the days of the Queen mum and the ten children she held over her head and the ten meters of snow. I was there during the days of the lightning house my dear children. Ohhhh my dear lads, I remember the when the Ents roamed the streets of Bristol and lit the lamps at night. All will never be the same. All will be not the same save the old woman will never cease to make the thunder sauce for the biscuits.
Thank you. Just. Thank you so much
I’m so happy to hear that!!!
Hi man, thank you for the book!
But can you lower the music and sound effects? I can barely hear the reader when music or sound effects are on.
Who is reading it?
Audiobooks are epic but the soundtrack sometimes muffles the narrator.
Wow really enjoyed this found it on Spotify original! Does anyone know the people that make it? Would love venture into more of there work. Never heard an audio book which such amazing vibes
Thanks, we will try our best!
Beautiful ! My favourite story of all time, my heart hurt for Frodo as he developed PTSD just like golum.
Lovely audio book indeed. It’s more like a radio drama really. The only criticism I have is that the music gets too loud very often in the more intense moments making it impossible to hear the reading.
Not working
You guys are doing Gods Work with these Dramatized AudioBooks!
Ok I enjoyed the listening to the books but did you have to make me cry like a child at the end? That was wonderful. Better than the movies a million times better. Thank you.
I give this six stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if I am allowed. Can you upload Legend of the seeker too?
OK
