The two find in each other the right kind of relation which they were trying to find. Thus Christmas makes these two characters not only the best of friends but true lovers. The closing of the novel is full of romance and the holiday spirit gets awoken to the maximum level. Holly’s shop shines the brightest but not because of lights but rather because of love.
