Detective stories are usually longer than the usual romantic stories, the author has to add a lot of details to such stories. A middle aged banker named Nigel Baxter is found dead in a hotel room and the people who saw the body for the first time thought that it was a suicide because the wrists were cut. Later the investigation proved that the man was actually poisoned. There was also a strange teddy bear near the spot which was an odd thing to find in the room of a mature man. Riley’s investigation proves that the man was indulged in something linked to a strange website.
That website used to provide young women to older men and Baxter was quite fond of the thing. So Riley thinks that the website had something to do with the killing and all he has to do was to establish contact with the woman Baxter has contacted quite often. The Night of the Party and The Woman Inside have an equal amount of suspense in them which is narrated by James Lailey. Don’t look for any other detective series if you have any books from this series at hand.
