Below Zero is a suspenseful mystery thriller. It is the ninth chapter in Joe Pickett novel series. The book is expertly written by C. J. Box. You will enjoy most of his novels from the subject series and picking up any chapter will never make a bad deal. A very easy, enjoyable, and comfortable read is guaranteed in his Blood Trail novel. Apart from this, he did an outstanding job with the writing and characterization of his Nowhere to Run novel.
The narration of Below Zero novel is done by David Chandler. This was a fine performance by David and you would love him to continue further in this series with the same enthusiasm, passion, and energy in his voice that he has demonstrated in this chapter.
A telephone call was made from April, Joe Pickett’s stepdaughter to Sherry, his real daughter which sends a chill down Sherry’s spine. So, this means that April wasn’t murdered in a bloody massacre some six years ago? Sherry wondered how that caller knew all of those minute details that only April could have known. She was extremely confused while Joe Pickett at his end was highly suspicious. So, was it April on the call, or was his family and Joe himself are victims of an immensely cruel hoax?
C.J. Box always delivers and that is the reason you will hardly find any boring novel from the author. His strength is that he knows very well how to move the story and he has done that with perfection in this Below Zero novel. The plot of this book, its writing, and its narration is all par excellence.
