If you have selected this book then keep in view that it is a gay fantasy book and there would be certain things in it that only adults can understand properly. Based on the theme of Cinderella, this series has taken several things to an entirely different level and fans who have not been going on in a proper way with the series will surely get surprised. Listening to one book at a time in proper order is the most appropriate way for this series.

    X. Aratare has mixed the fae and the human world together like a love story and there is a serious battle going on in the background which was not there in the original Cinderella tale. Edward Fox and Hannah Hart were the two narrators who narrated Cinders & Ashes: Book 1 and Cinders & Ashes, Book 2 and they have not been replaced since then.

A new voice might not be acceptable for the fans at this stage because they have developed a relationship with the voice of the two narrators. Finn was treated quite badly by his stepfather in the first episode but now he has become a prince and he is with his real father who happens to be the fae king.

Still, Finn is not happy because in his heart he still thinks of the human prince whom he loves so much. Rohan on the other hand is banished by his father and this young prince wants to reach Finn so that they can solve this problem together. Things can get better only when the humans and the fae creatures start working together but it is not an easy task.
