City of Fallen Angels is a beautiful and impressive science fiction novel from the younger audience. This popular novel is part of The Mortal Instruments novel series that managed to build a good fan base for itself in quick time. Thanks to the brilliant writing done by Cassandra Clare who in no time managed to gain good trust of her potential and current audience by producing one after the other sensational stories. The City of Fallen Angels is a prime example of her expertise and brilliance. A few other worth mentioning novels from the author are City of Bones and Chain of Gold.
The narration for the subject novel was a partnership affair between Ed Westwick and Molly C. Quinn. It was a satisfactory performance, where the male narrator was appreciated more than the female counterpart.
City of Fallen Angels follows right after the prequel City of Glass and makes a great connection. Valentine by now is out of the way. Clary is thinking now that she can now be together with Jace finally. But that was not the case actually, especially when the Shadowhunters started getting murdered and their bodies were left around Ney York City. Things were setup in a way to ruin the peace between Shadowhunters and Downworlders. Clary realized that the past can never be totally left behind. Jace terminated all communications with Clary just when the Shadowhunters ascent to find out that what exactly is happening.
The content of this novel is great but the narrators could have done a lot better to make the audiobook sound good. Nevertheless, the book is overall of good quality and definitely worth listening.
