Abby Mullen was introduced at the beginning of the series so there is not much to say about her. All of us already know that Mike Omer introduced her as a hostage negotiator in the first episode of the series. In that episode, she had a serious task at hand and she did well to save the life of an innocent kid.
This second installment which is narrated in the voice of Fajer Al- Kaisi and Jesse Vilinsky is equally interesting and mind-blowing. Long ago Abby Mullen faced the wrath of the Wilcox cult when she was just a kid. She faced such horrible things that she thought that she has faced all the torture in her childhood and now as a professional hostage negotiator she has nothing to be afraid of.
This confidence allowed her to solve cases in A Burning Obsession and A Deadly Influence. Now she is more confident than ever but she wasn’t expecting the situation which she was about to face. A group called the Watchers entered the territory of a school and they make the students of the institute hostage. Abby is given the case but she just cannot complete this assignment because her daughter is also among the hostages and she cannot see her daughter being put at gunpoint by the Watchers.
Abby knows that she had to dig deep into the mind of the one who is leading the Watchers but she cannot stop thinking about her daughter and this thought seems to be distracting her all the time. However Abby must take action if she wants to see her daughter alive at the end of this incident.
