Bill aroused the spark of love in Sookie’s heart and from there the story started after that Sam and Eric also made their place in it. Currently Sookie is living with Eric as she finally found out about his feelings in From Dead to Worse. But she is not normal at all; the two fairies i.e Lochlan and Neave did much harm to her in the previous part Dead and Gone: Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mystery #9.
She is recovering but it’s a slow process and not only her, Bill is also in a bad state because he too was attacked by the same creatures when he tried to save Sookie. Both characters don’t want any more trouble in their lives for a few days to come but trouble has landed right on their doors in urgency. Victor still tries to kill Bill, Sam and Eric in different ways which teases Sookie more than anything.
Between all of this a cousin of Sookie comes to her place with his own domestic troubles. An issue between Bill and Judith creates tension in the family; Sookie goes to Judith and tells her how Bill feels for her. In the meanwhile help is needed by Hadley’s son and Sookie goes to him as well for babysit. The boy also has the same powers of telepathy through which he can contact Sookie anytime.
Domestic troubles from all sides and for everyone make real fuss in Charlaine Harris’ latest. Experienced Johanna Parker got confused at some parts here and that’s why narration did not possess the same impact this time. Novel was interesting but it would be better to keep the things on one track in the future parts.
