After bringing family and friends to a safe haven Mike and the squad is now ready for the dangerous missions that they were unable to perform with the lives of friends and family attached to them. Mike has gained the rank of Lieutenant and it means nothing in this scenario because the zombies will not show mercy whether he is a general or the chief. Still it is ample to prove his worth in the ranks of his team.
Colonel wanted some men for the uphill task and he goes to Mike and his team because they are able to perform miracles. Perhaps Mike and his men are the only men the colonel is left with at this time because the battle has continued for years and they have been losing men at rapid pace. The novel is taking us to the end slowly and at this stage we think that Mike’s death will decide the fate of mankind.
It’s time for action for him as he is not running away that he did in Etna Station. The band is going to New York on a rescue mission where they would be without any aid or supply and to their misfortune a devil has risen from its grave that is far deadly than any other they have ever confronted. Would the team be ready for it or not that is the question that only time can answer. Survival is impossible and there is also a bigger threat i.e if they run back to the station these new devils will know about their hide out as well.
Mark Tufo in the voice of Sean Runnette is bringing the story to the climax and the audience is hoping for an epic ending, without it the whole series would be dashed to the ground.
