Stephanie has been trapped in the love of two men since the start of the tale and for some, it does not love rather it is pure lust that these three characters share. Whether she likes the character of these two men or not she is attracted towards them with a strange kind of force. This novel starts with a bank robbery and it is Dom Rizzi who robs the bank. Dom is a close relative of Joe Morelli i.e the cop with whom Stephanie has formed quite a relation over the past many years.
Then there is another named Loretta who is the sister of Dom, together these three are involved in this robbery. But that is what the people in the department think and that’s why Stephanie is hired to investigate the truth. It is the Ranger who hires her and for the sake of this job she has to penetrate deep into the house of Joe which is protected by Moonman.
A complicated story compiled by Janet Evanovich is making things scary for the girl who is always worried about her house rent. Since Four to Score and Seven Up it is her life for which Stephanie is worried more as compared to the house rent and here the situation is the same. A night at Joe’s house could be a scary thing. Lorelei King narrates the mixed feelings of the girl here who is sacred but she is committed to bringing down the one who is involved in the robbery. The novel is loaded with everything i.e from robbery to murder and it is on Stephanie whether she catches the criminal or gets drifted by Joe’s presence.
