AUDIOBOOK FOR YOU - TOKYBOOK!

Rose Under Fire is a genre-fiction novel. It is the second book in Code Name Verity novel series. It is written by Elizabeth Wein. She is a pretty decent author of fiction novels and her Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Cobalt Squadron novel for children proves that fact. Moreover, she is also appreciated for the title chapter of the Code Name Verity novel series which has the same name as Code Name Verity.

Sasha Pick has done the narration of Rose Under Fire novel. It was partially a good performance. She sounded good with her American accent. But, when it came to the foreign characters and accents in Polish and French, and especially for the character of Rosia then she sounded awful.

Rose was a young pilot during the time of World War II. She was the one with the Air Transport Auxiliary as well. After coming back from a partially secretive fight during the waning days of WW II, she got captured by the Germans. Eventually, she found herself within the Nazi concentration camp for women which was in Ravensbruck. She met an unforgettable group of women in that concentration camp which also included a celebrated and glamorous French detective novelist.

Rose Under Fire

She was sent to that camp after her Jewish husband and her three young sons got killed. There was also a resilient young woman who was more like a human guinea pig for all those Nazi doctors in there. There was also a Night Witch, a military ace, and a female fighter pilot as well.

The story and the characters of Rose Under Fire are breathtakingly beautiful. Your experience with this book will be overwhelming, except you had to adjust yourself with some foreign accents of the narrator at a few places.
