She Was the Quiet One is a genre fiction novel. It is written by Michele Campbell who is known for her gripping novels involving relationships and a twist as well. She has plenty of other novels of the kind which are extremely interesting and are highly loved by the fictional book lovers. The Wife Who Knew Too Much and A Stranger on the Beach are the two most special novels that are written by Michele Campbell.
January LaVoy for Michele was the ultimate choice to play the narration of this woman centric novel. She did full justice with her role as a narrator and the performance by her was enjoyed by one and all.
The story in this novel starts with the introduction of Rose Enright who is enrolled in a reputable boarding school in New England. This for her was an opportunity of a lifetime. But for her twin sister, Bel, the Odel Academy was nothing but a place of immense danger and temptation.
When Bel fell under the influence of the rich kids in school who persistently ask her into hazing Rose, the relationship of the twin sisters got shattered. Rose approached Sarah Donovan, her mother for taking her advice. Bu, Bel approached Heath, husband of Sara for the matter. He was an ambitious and a charismatic teacher. This is when story takes a steep turn.
The novel started off pretty well and looked promising but there was a sudden dip towards the second half where ending was absolutely flat. The epilogue seems to be ridiculous as well. It could just be a one-time novel if you are bored and in the mood to experiment.
