Jim Butcher’s work takes James Masters voice for the presentation of the new series which from the introduction appears to be just a tale of a wizard but it is something more. Harry Blackstone the one of a kind magician finds himself in a jobless condition because of no work he is facing terrible financial issue.
Then suddenly a wind of pleasure comes to the door and he is approached by a high official who needs his help. One thing is clear that the magician is finally getting paid through the detective job that he is going to perform for the department. But he never thought that the job would lead him in the monster world that he too is afraid of. There are vampires and then there are monsters but none of them is more dangerous than the one who has broken the magician’s code. Killing is not the way of the magicians and the world of magic looks a little awed too.
Someone is forcing the world of magic and the entities in it to go beyond their boundaries and take part in the commission of the sin that is forbidden to them. Fool Moon is the next book that the audience should purchase after the completion of this one and for experiment Peace Talks is not a bad option to go with. The books can be put in the less serious category because the stories are not intensely described.
The fate of the world is at stake in this first novel of the series but there too the mumbo jumbo can make the listeners laugh because of Harry’s pitiable condition.
