Erich Maria Remarque is a German novelist of the 20th century. All Quiet on the Western Front is a landmark novel by the author. It is a tale about the military experience of Germany in the World War I. The novel went on to become the bestseller on international scale. It managed to create a completely new and different genre of literary writing for itself. The novel was so grand and loved that a cinema film was made over it with the same title. This movie was released in 1930.

Erich Maria Remarque started his literary writing career at the tender age of 16. He soon managed to become one of the prominent writers in the history of the county and his work is still appreciated worldwide.

The Road Back is a sequel to the classical novel All Quiet on the Western Front. The novel is all about the slow and steady return of Europe towards peace after the horrific World War I.

The great World War I ended after 4 grueling years. Ernst and some men from his company were thinking that what will become of them. The town they left as young men looks colder and their homes a lot smaller. For Ernst and his mates, the road back to peace is quite deceitful than they could have ever imagined.
