    Erich Maria Remarque is a German novelist of the 20th century. All Quiet on the Western Front is a landmark novel by the author. It is a tale about the military experience of Germany in the World War I. The novel went on to become the bestseller on international scale. It managed to create a completely new and different genre of literary writing for itself. The novel was so grand and loved that a cinema film was made over it with the same title. This movie was released in 1930.
