Writers all over the world never experiment out of their strengths but this credit goes to Anne Rice that she changes not only her style but also her category also. She takes out her pen to paint a thrilling series now as we come face to face with the first part of “Songs of the Seraphim Series”.  There is an engaging mystery along with a race against time and till the end the reader is kept under the captivating magic of the writer and the wonderful voice of Paul Michael. Toby O’ Dare the contract killer is the one with which the story opens, he takes the order from “The Right Man” now.

    Angel Time

He has no sentiments and the man has a stone heart for sure. Out of nowhere a man comes to his lethal and violent world and offers him a job that is quite opposite to whatever he usually does. Such dramatic twists and a clash between two worlds is the routine in Rice’s work such contrasting worlds and twists appear in Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis and Blood Communion  as well. The nice thing however is that we never feel sluggishness and boredom. Mystery is neatly induced in each and every step and it is after a slow and detailed glance that the audience can understand the motives of the characters.

O’Dare’s past suddenly comes to life as he once wanted to become a priest in his youth but ended up doing and assassin’s job for his livelihood. He moves to the 13th century and tries to correct an evil that can help in his salvation as well.
