Being George Washington is a historical memoir by Glenn Beck. He is an amazing and inspirational author with excellent insights into the history, present, and future of America which he has shared through many of his books. One of them is The Great Reset and another one is Arguing with Socialists.
Ron McLarty narrated this book and he accomplished that job pretty well.
This book will provide you not with the only opportunity to know about the awful winters in Valley Forge but you will live it alongside the great man, George Washington. You will be crossing Delaware on a boat along with him and in the trenches at Yorktown. You will be just next to him at Constitutional Convention as if the new republic was eventually born.
The stories shared here will only make you know about our actual history. You will experience how the media distorted our perception of that. It is quite ironic that the best facts known about George Washington about chopping a cherry tree were an absolute lie.
For all of the triumphs and heroism of George Washington, the sole best accomplishment of the great man was that he got created in the process. He was principled and courageous, just and fair. He was always respectful with everyone. But, at times, he was flawed as well. Those were the flaws that provide this generation with some hope.
Glenn Beck did a great job in bringing back the lifelong memories of the hero of many Americans. You will get to know the real George Washington here and the author shared the stories of his life with a lot of conviction.
