This series has been going on for a very long time and still, no critic has ever said anything negative about the story. The story has remained strong in every episode and there is no pause in the story and the narration done by Hillary Huber at any stage. Lara Adrian has proved that the pen of an author can create magic in a minimal time.
Dragos is the main issue of disturbance in most of the stories, Deeper Than Midnight was loaded with characters who had issues with this vampire and the villain is still a headache for everyone. The Order has tried to put an end to this on many occasions but the group of warriors has not been able to succeed.
The plan was always perfect but the villain is powerful and cunning at the same time. Sterling Chase is the one for whom everyone is looking on this occasion because he can do the job which the others have failed to complete. The problem is that Chase does not work with the Order anymore and he has left everything aside. Chase thought that he would never get a chance to regain his lost glory ever but the presence of Tavia changes his way of thinking.
He thinks that the girl can provide him with the chance that he has been looking for because she too is hiding secrets that she does not want to reveal. Tavia can help the warriors which the failure to achieve in Shades of Midnight means that she can pave the way in defeating Dragos forever. So Tavia is an opportunity that Chace was looking for but the problem is that the girl is not ready for all this.
