They have tried it the previous time but vacation time was not there for Catherine and Bones now after six years they try yet again. Defeating the undead and protecting the valley was not easy then they had the Mater vampire on their tails which almost killed them. Things of the past however now only remain as a vague dream in their memories as they look forward to a peaceful and energetic future. Together the couple moves to Paris to live their dreams just for once in their engaged life.
Love and leisure were just not there in the initial period of their lives and now they have each other in a cool romantic city. Ironically this time the night starts haunting the Half –Vampire i.e Catherine. A vampire named Gregor starts approaching her in her dreams and a vampire dream should never be taken less seriously. Gregor can surpass Bones in every bloody competition and he and Catherine are linked together by a certain bond that is unknown to her.
Jeaniene Frost is slowly bringing out the demon hidden in Catherine, in this book the whole story revolves around Catherine and not on Bones. It is she who can get Gregor out of her mind and life otherwise she would be doomed forever. The narration was very important for this psychologically tense part and Tavia Gilbert was right up to the mark.
Tavia depicts the tense and teased girl superbly throughout. Her narration was even better than that in Halfway to the Grave and One Foot in the Grave. At the end of this book, the author has also hinted towards such dangers that will keep on coming in the future of the life of this lovely couple. Catherine and Bone should always keep their shoelaces tight after this adventure as more is coming to them.
