Real fun for the kids and exciting for the adults, the current book that E.B. Stevens narrates in the loud voice that still does not becomes teasing at all. The novel is the sort that needed such a voice so that it could take the listener in the fantasy world where all the magical and mythical creatures have finally gathered. In the rest of the world these creatures are thought to be nonexistent but in Fablehaven they exist in minimal number.
The author Brandon Mull introduces a new place with the start of this series in which the mythical creatures are preserved. Their existence is precious because almost all of them are the last of their kinds and Fablehaven is saving them from going extinct. But not all the creatures present in the safe house are in a mode of being saved, the witches, the magical creatures and the devilish elves want to get out in the open for their evil desires.
This is where the role of the caretaker family emerges, Kendra and Seth’s grandfather is the caretaker of the place when the story starts and he keeps things and demons in order. Kendra never expected that such a thing would appear in her life as she and her brother are the next in the list for the duty of the caretaker. First it was Keys to the Demon Prison and now this one, Mull just keeps on creating these fantasy worlds.
Fablehaven seen by Kendra and Seth, and then described chiefly by Kendra is a place most of the authors have never imagined. There are books in which magical creatures are described along with the places where they live but they are never kept in a place together. Fablehaven is like a zoo where different species are kept together only in this case there are monsters and witches in the cages.
