Safe house for the magical creatures was not safe anymore when they themselves started revolting against the order of the house. Kendra and Seth were new to the job in Fablehaven, Book 1 but now they know what their grandfather has been doing all these years. Now when the duty calls they have full awareness of what is at stake all the time. Sorenson the grandfather is facing new trouble in the form of an organization that wants something that can turn the world upside down.
It is an old artifact that is hidden in the center of the Fablehaven and has power that can even control the whole bunch of creatures that are left. Luckily the grandfather of Kendra and Seth has three specialists on his side but the organization named the Evening Star is getting closer. Time is running out and Kendra and Seth run back home to fulfill their job of protecting the creatures and the artifact. Kendra is getting hold of her powers and Seth still unable to determine his job comes to the scene before the start of the war. Brandon Mull has started really a marvelous story of the fairies and the witches, the new thing is that these creatures are going extinct and humans are trying to save them.
After seeing Kendra’s powers one can also think that the family is not that human after all perhaps the grandfather is hiding something more. E.B. Stevens never leaves a chance to impress the audience and the narrator always succeeds too in getting perfection in the work and improving it at every next step.
