Late on March 5th, users of many apps within Meta’s ecosystem were suddenly logged out. Almost all tools from this company faced issues. Specifically, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Threads all encountered the same problem. Accounts were logged out simultaneously on mobile devices and websites. When attempting to log back in, the platforms indicated that the account was incorrect or the password was wrong.

On Down Detector, the number of error reports for Meta’s services spiked, with hundreds of thousands of instances from users worldwide. The quantity of feedback shows that the impact of this incident is much more widespread than previous occurrences.
It wasn’t until 10:50 PM on the same day that Meta updated the status of the system’s login issues. The company labeled this incident as a “Widespread Disruption”. “We have identified an issue impacting Facebook login. The technical team is actively working to find a solution as quickly as possible”, Meta announced.”
