Nick used to live in the world of dreams or the fictional world which he knew a lot about because of the literature which he inhabited to read.
It was the one thing which he liked the most and then he got the chance to meet the fictional characters that he used to read so much about. Meeting Shadow Storm was one thing and getting a kiss from him was different. Nick never thought that he would be able to get a superhero boyfriend and now when he has one, he wants to keep it to eternity.
Sadly, Nick hasn’t developed any superhero powers of any kind in his self. This means that he would not be able to get connected to the world of superheroes in the future. This also means the bond between Nick and his boyfriend could never become permanent. T.J. Klune has brought more charm to the story because the two lovers just cannot live without each other at this stage.
Moreover, Nova City receives some new Extraordinaries, with new super powers that have never existed on the land before. New challenges, a bit similar to The House in the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door appear in the land.
Michael Lesley narrates the second part too as Nick and his friends go in search of the real truth that has been kept hidden from everyone for a very long time. It is up to them to get to the core of the matter before Nova City is turned into ash and all the people living on it lose their lives permanently.
