How the Light Gets In, A Chief Inspector Gamache novel series builds up with great enthusiasm and suspense in its book 9 as well. The author, Louise Penny is brilliant once again with the characters, scenes and twists in the book. The marvelous and powerful narration from Ralph Cosham also plays a pivotal role in the success of this novel.

Christmas is just round the corner and also the time for heavy snowfalls in Quebec. Along with that, there are a lot of bright lights and get together of family and friends everywhere. But for Chief Inspector Gamache, shadows are falling over the Christmas festive season. The majority of agents from the Homicide Department who are his close friends have left. On the other side, his close mate Jean-Guy hasn’t had a word with him for several months. Then, there are those hostile forces who are quickly setting up against him.

    How the Light Gets In

Myrna Landers sent a message to Gamache that one of her long term friend missed out to arrive in Three Pines village on Christmas. Gamache was very suspicious about the fact that why Myrna was so reluctant to tell the name of her best friend. He soon discovered that the women missing out in Christmas in Three Pines was actually a famous personality not only in North America, but well beyond as well. Now she is totally unrecognized by everyone almost except Ruth Zardo, the mad but excellent poet.

If you are a fan of Louise Penny and looking for more books from the author, then A Better Man: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel and A Fatal Grace are the best. Do find time to read these epic novels as well.
