It is the first mystery book of the series by Olivia Matthews, it has ample stuff to make the listeners crave for more very soon. Marvey is the main character in the story and she happens to be an ordinary librarian. Though the woman had never performed any action in her life she had read more crime novels than anyone else in the city.
Her daily routine was to adjust books for the readers and guide the people coming to the library in the most appropriate way. Then on one occasion, she found a dead body in the library and her close friend is arrested by the police as a suspect. Marvey knew that the police had the wrong suspect so she started working on the case on her own. The knowledge which she extracted from the crime novels was finally helpful for her.
The clues were neatly arranged first of all and then the search for the real killer started. Marvey knew that she could reach the truth about the dead body but she wasn’t aware that she would be facing the wrath of the killer as well if she looks too deep into the case. Janina Edwards happens to be an expert narrator because she is the one who narrated Torn Apart and The Sex Lives of African Women for her fans.
Narrating a crime thriller was new for Janina and it was a good challenge for the narrator as well. The narrator had to bring more energy to the voice so that the audience can feel everything which is happening very quickly in the story.
