Pico Mundo was the place where Odd Thomas got his powers for the first time and then from there on he moved on missions he never thought he would be able to perform. He went to terrifying buildings and towns, met people with strange sinister approach towards life. Also confronted devil like figures in Forever Odd and Odd Hours, and now he has returned.

Dean Koontz after many turns and twists brings the story back to Pico Mundo, the place that Odd left on his own will. Coming back to the hometown was a good decision as it again provides him a chance to be with his dear ones. But the loss of true love also pinches at the core of his heart more than anything.

It was in Pico Mundo that he found and then lost his love, he met many girls after that but not true love. As Odd starts gain knowledge about him he realizes that the whole toil was arranged for him so that he can finally realize himself. Path of hardship and toil has been covered finally and the place of a saint awaits him after the final test.

    Saint Odd

No doubt a wonderful series in all respect tells us about the journey of a man who from a lowly cook reaches the status of a saint. One quality that never left Odd was his commitment to his duty and his wiliness to serve those who needed his help the most. Official narrator David Aaron Baker gets the honor of narrating the last book as well and it was Baker’s voice that highlighted the character even more among the fans.
