A story of love, hate relationship that keeps the past alive is always bound to attract your attention for a long time. Lee Thomas has created a wonderland which has nothing enjoyable in it for the one who wants to enjoy life but for those with sickness in their minds are sure to feel pleasure as it is the wonderland created by the nightmares of people that they wanted to get rid of.

    The Dust of Wonderland

Ken Nicholson is back to New Orleans because of a family issue but as he unfolds the case he comes to know that the problem is related to his past and not his family. The evil forces dragged his family into the matter just to attract his attention for a while and make him relive his past which he thought he had flushed years ago. Travis Brugier a person from Ken’s past once did an act that resulted in the death of many people but then it was all soon over when Travis too killed himself after committing this hideous act.

Ken forgot all about it when he left the place but again the criminal creates the same scene in front of his eyes and this time the people under threat belong to Ken’s family so he is bound to remember the buried past and perhaps the criminal or the evil force behind all this wants him to feel the mental torture.

The story is surely not with a happy ending but this was perhaps the motive of the story. The story is well told and the scenes are described in such a way that the whole thing comes to life in front of us. J.J. Bower’s narration also has an impact on the whole thing as the presentation is superb.

Pieces of Her – Karin Slaughter and The Last Thing I Saw – Alex Sinclair are the other interesting storybooks that are good ones for spending some time in your suspense-filled thoughts.
