The story in this novel is of a couple of families, a house swap, and then an excellent vacation to die for.
The Italian villa was brilliant. I thought that it might just feel odd to live in the house of the stranger for the entire summer. But just as my husband and kids swim in the strikingly good infinity pool, I just started to relax. Then right in the back of a wardrobe, I discovered something shocking that shattered almost everything there.
Sparking and beautiful green eyes, a lopsided smile, and a square jaw. A handsome young man was having his arms go around a charming young woman. T picture looked a bit faded and old. But, I would recognize him anywhere and anytime. That handsome man was my husband.
But, we had never met the family with whom we swapped homes. And my husband on the other side swore that it was not him in the picture. He was lying. We both argued for a long time about it with the sun setting right behind us.
When I eventually decided to just calm down a bit to make a return back to the villa to confront him, I discovered his dead body on the veranda.
