Twelve books of a single series can give a boring feeling but here the case is exactly the opposite. The fans actually want to hear more from Lemony Snicket who has amused everyone during all these years. Finally, this is the concluding part of the story during which Violet, Klaus, and Sunny have gone through real hell.

All of the parts are narrated by Tim Curry and the official narrator knew exactly how to deal with the three characters and the problems they face on this occasion. The Carnivorous Carnival and The Slippery Slope were full of troubles so the three orphans were looking for a place to finally rest in this episode. They come to a hotel to spend the vacations and have a leisurely time which is not presented to them rather they get another adventurous ride in the process.

The Penultimate Peril

The hotel also provides them with something to explore as well because they have never seen such a gigantic structure before along with different kinds of people living in different rooms. They start collecting everything which they see or hear on paper. It seems to be a very nice activity for them because they also get an opportunity to analyze these new kinds of people living in the big city.

Firstly everything goes well when the three get what they wanted i.e a comfortable living and plenty of stuff to explore. Later the exploration leads them to a new mission that was not on the list. The record which they were compiling finally proves to be quite handy in the end. Everything settles well at the end but after a lot of trouble.
