Pine Cove series has been rocking since the launch and Christopher Moore has really made a name for himself through the series. Not recommended for the kids but the series is sure fun for the adults all over the world.
It has action, sex scenes and then the troubles that are usually not there in the real world. People at the Pine Cove are also of unique personalities and not found commonly on the streets anywhere else in the world. After Practical Demonkeeping and The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove everyone had the hint that where the story was going to.
But the description of the scenes provides the story the crunch that it needs in almost all of Moore’s works. Time for the Christmas holidays at Pine Cove and the people are celebrating and planning for the fun week. Joshua Barker the little boy of the town is not in a very happy mode at all and thus he prays in his home for a miracle to happen.
Hoping for a miracle is one of the Christmas trends because there is Santa Clause out there to fulfill your wishes. The boy on the other hand is not wishing anything for himself rather he is wishing for the return of the Santa Clause.
Santa was put to sleep after pounding on the head in front of Joshua’s eyes and the boy knows that something has gone wrong. The prayers are heard by an angel luckily and he rises for help but ironically it is he who destroys the Christmas for the people of the Pine Cove. Christmas becomes Halloween for the people as the only fun day of their life gets ruined by a slight miss judgment of an angel. Tony Roberts takes the seat of the narrator and the change goes unfelt because he blends nicely in the scenes.
