We are back with the Petro biologist and this time she is on the right spot where she could find what she has been looking for all those years.
Aimee Weir finally finds the microorganism in a natural gas deposit, a thing that could revolutionize the whole world in terms of fuel and the reservoirs of natural gas. But at the same time the poor biologist finds herself in trouble. As the microorganism is far deadly and destructive than she has ever imagined.
As things go out of her hands the threat to the world increases in a huge way. Aimee has left Alex since ages and thought that she would never see him in her life anymore.
But this time, in order to stop the contamination from coming to the surface of the earth she needs the team along with the captain for the job as Alex. And his team is the perfect squad for such critical situations.
The reunion of Alex and Aimee after the first part Beneath the Dark Ice also ignites the love passion in the novel once again and we find something that was missing in the second chapter Dark Rising i.e romance.
But our main character is once again not given the opportunity to express themselves fully as there is no time for personal feelings since the fate of the planet lies in their hands. Greig Beck again changes the scenario and the mission but the intensity is the same narrated in the voice of Sean Mangan that has become a familiar thing no along with this series.
The whole surroundings are once again aptly described and the details are accurate and excellent.
