Detective Kim Stone Crime Thriller, Book 10
Angela Marsons’ work has been garnished well by the narration of Jan Cramer on many occasions; same can be observed in this mystery that is full of action and suspense the basic ingredients of nice thriller. Crime thrillers have always been Angela’s best since the release of the Kim Stone series the books like Silent Scream and Fatal Promise have been praised highly because of their excellent plot and the progress of the story that always keeps you well engaged till the end and the final disposition of the whole issue.
Two teenagers are found by Kim Stone chained to a radiator at the start of the story, one of them however is in the form of a dead body and the girl proves to be the only survival. Kim first thinks of it as a coincidence related to her own past as her brother died in the same way but a few days later a couple burnt in a car looks exactly the same as her parents died. She is sure that someone is after her who knows her past and wants to tease her before killing her. A wonderful subjective type of story this time is presented to Kim’s own personal life and she is trying to save herself this time and no other person.
The incidents that she observes give her pain that is more troublesome for her than the fear of death. The story is totally different from the rest of the Kim Stone series as unlike the old ones the story is not related to her life, the story is about her life and survival. The criminal is a mastermind this time that has done all his homework in order to tackle the master detective. The suspense is also one the major elements of this chapter and develops well with the tale.
