The grand series has every reason for the book lovers to invest in their time especially if they are crime mystery thriller followers. This is exactly what this novel and the Travis McGee series all about. Free Fall in Crimson is the 19th chapter in this mystery thriller series. If you go on to check the archives of the author John D. MacDonald then you will find a rich treasure of some really awesome books. A few of those that we recommend as among the best are Nightmare in Pink and The Deep Blue Good-By novels.
Robert Petkoff is the narrator of Free Fall in Crimson. His performance by all means of standards and quality was spectacular.
This time around, Travis McGee came a lot closer of losing his excellent status of being a living legend. This status came at stake at a time when he showed willingness to track down the murderers who brutally killed a millionaire who was ailing as well. For starters, he went on to renew the ongoing adventure with a famous Hollywood actress. She led him into a highly nasty web of killers that involves porn movies, a motorcycle gang and some mad balloonists as well. This made McGee to relearn his old but great lesson: When he comes close to death then only he feels to be completely alive.
Those who have started book reading in the 70s and 80s must have been a fan of John D. MacDonald for his mystery series. The audio version available now for the series and for The Fall in Crimson novel gives another great season to fall in love with the author and the series again.
