Problems just keep on coming for the young warrior who was not in the mood to fight more than one battle at a time. Stile never thought that life would get to such a situation for him where he would be asked to fight on two different war fronts in two different styles. He is yet to find out who is after him and why he wants to take Stile’s life.
Stile hasn’t done anything wrong in his life and he is not a hero with any kind of superpowers that he might be able to pose a problem for the bad guys. On Proton, he has to win the big game in order to survive and the killers just don’t go away from him. They are hiding in the shadows and waiting for the right time. They have tried many times in the past and stile was in luck that he got away with everything. The target is still marked on him and he is trying to learn magic at Phaze as quickly as possible.
The world of magic is not very friendly but it is with the hope that might give the hero a chance to survive in the near future. If he is able to return from Phaze with full knowledge about magic then there is a chance that he would be able to secure his existence in his home world. On a Pale Horse and For Love of Evil could be good books for the starting purpose but the real fun starts from here and it goes on like a rocket after that. Author Piers Anthony and the narrator Traber Burns are still together in the series and they have formed a nice team together.
