Playing Nice is a suspenseful mystery thriller novel. It is written by JP Delaney. He is an English author who has given many exciting titles where a few of them have been translated into 20 different languages. The Perfect Wife is arguably the best novel by JP Delaney. You will also have many good things to say about his The Girl Before novel.
The audio narration of Playing Nice novel is done by Ben Elliot, Peter Forbes and Amelia Cormack. This trio of narrators worked pretty well and made this novel worth listening in audio format.
The story starts with the character of Pete Riley. He answered the door one morning and that led to the worst ever nightmare for any parent. Miles Lambert was on the door. He was a stranger who shared the devastating and unbelievable news that Theo, the son of Pete is actually his son. He told that Theo was switched at birth and all that happened due to the negligence of an understaffed hospital. On top of that, Pete also came to know that his real son was taken by a couple of Miles and Lucy. Pete was raising Theo along with his partner, Maddie. Life for them will never be the same again.
A couple of families were reeling from the tremendous shock. There was a plan to sue the hospital which triggered an official investigation, which led to some really shocking secrets and a few disturbing questions as well.
The story of this novel is pretty unique and it comes with some excellent suspense. It will be a surprising experience for the listeners in many different ways, especially by the characters of this story.
