The Elementals is a horror fiction novel. It is written by Michael McDowell. He was one of the most talented writers of fiction in the USA who was acknowledged even beyond for his great work. Even the legendary Stephen King was deeply impressed with his horror fiction and regarded him as one of the finest writers of fiction that the USA has ever produced. If you are interested in knowing about a few more good novels from the author then Cold Moon over Babylon can be a very good place to start. After this one, you will also like the work of the author in the Gilded Needles novel.

The Elementals is narrated by R. C. Bray. This is a great thing that happened with this audiobook as Bray did full justice with the story and its characters with his exceptional performance.

After a disturbing incident happened at Marian Savage’s funeral, The Savage and McCray families looked ahead to a relaxing summer. The destination was Beldame which was just by the Gulf Coast of Alabama. It was the place known for the looming Victorian houses right over the shimmering beach.

    The Elementals

A couple of houses there were habitable. Another one was mysteriously buried underneath a huge dune of white sand. That third house was not abandoned and there was something deadly living in it. It was something very horrific which might be the reason behind multiple unexplained and terrible deaths at the place for many years in the past. And even worse, it was all set to kill once again.

The Elementals is a haunted house story and you will rarely find such a type in horror fiction which is so awesomely written. The decent backstory also added quite a lot of perspective to this new story.
