Christina is not like the other ladies in Julie Garwood’s stories because she knows how to control her feelings. She does not care about men and it does not matter whether someone is paying attention to her or not. Though most of the men whom she meets in her everyday life want to have her she has not shown any interest in any of them. No one has ever been able to steal the heart of this strong lady who has her heart well secured by the power of her brain.
She thought that her life would keep on going in the same way but her fate had other plans for her. Lyon i.e the seductive lady killer finds Christina really captivating and after seeing her for the first time, he wanted to have her in his grasp. The first kiss that the two exchanged really set everything on fire but Christina once again gave the cool and calm look because she wasn’t able to afford a relationship.
Though her heart was attracted to the man she was keeping a secret that she could not share with anyone. Susan Duerden had a real task on her hands in this story because the female character was not easy to narrate on this occasion, Christina was trying to control her feelings and hide her secret at the same time, and at the climax, she thinks that she is losing grip on both.
Fast Track and The Wedding needed applause for sure and this one needs a pure appreciation too. The feelings of the two lovers are aptly described in the novel and the way they want to have each other is told amazingly.
