Psychological thrillers are the best if they are written in a perfect manner. Usually, the authors lack the skill to make the story look more appealing thus the story never touches the hearts of the fans. Gillian McAllister does not possess this sort of weakness and whatever the writer knits get transformed into a legend within no time. The author has provided a strange thought in the story which makes all of us surprised.
The main character is waiting for her son to return to the house so that they can have lunch. It was a nice routine day and her son used to come right on time but this time he was a bit late. The reason was unknown but soon the boy appeared on the scene and there was a sign of relief for the mother.
After taking a step or two, the boy stopped and shot a man who was a complete stranger to the family. Lesley Sharp changes the style of narration a little after this scene because things get serious after this.
The boy is arrested and no one knows the reason for that killing. The mother of the boy thinks that she has lost everything but the next morning she thinks that she has been given a chance. She wakes up a day before the killing actually took place.
She thinks that she can finally know the reason now so she starts the investigation. She can stop everything from happening only if she gets to the real cause of the entire thing. The Good Sister had secrets that the two ladies exchanged with each other. The Choice also came up with surprises but this tale is spooky and it has something which is difficult to believe initially.
