Missing is a thriller novel written by the British author, K. L. Slater. She is a bestselling author with international fame who had millions of copies sold all across her novels. A good share of those goes to her The Evidence novel. Moreover, The Silent One is another stunning and worth mentioning novel by the author.
Kristin Atherton is the narrator of the Missing audiobook. She was just average with her performance. Lucy Price-Lewis set the bar high with the majority of novels that Slater has written and Kristin couldn’t come any closer to her.
I knew who took my daughter away. It was only his mother who could help me in the matter…
The room of the little girl was quite dark and her bed was empty as well. I turned on her nightlight and just buried my face within her pillow while feeling my heart broken.
I knew who was behind this. Samuel Barlow was his name. He was the one with pale skin and blue eyes. But there was nobody who would listen to me.
Just as the darkness prevailed and the rain lashed on the window, I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and saw those same blue eyes looking back at me. It was his mother actually and she told me that she could help me in finding my daughter. However, my gut feelings were telling me then that I shouldn’t trust her at all. But, how could I deny her when hopes of finding my daughter were fading away quickly?
The story is really good and you will enjoy the twists that were placed and timed in it. The narration was a slightly weaker part of this audio novel.
