AUDIOBOOK FOR YOU - TOKYBOOK!

City of Bones is a suspenseful mystery thriller. It is the eighth chapter in the Harry Bosch series. This book and the series are written by Michael Connelly. The Last Coyote: Harry Bosch Series, Book 4 is one of his finest. Moreover, you will also have a nice time with The Black Box novel of the same author.

The narration of this book is done by Peter J. Fernandez. His voice sounded too old for the characters and it certainly didn’t impress the listeners.

Harry Bosch on New Year’s Eve fielded a call that a bone was found by a dog. That bone was identified as a human’s bone by the owner of the dog who was a doctor.

That discovery led Harry Bosch to a grace which was at the Hollywood hills. It was evidence of a murder that was committed a couple of decades ago. It was a cold case but it also stirred up the memory of his childhood when he was an orphan in the city. He dug much deep into the different police reports and tracked down many runaways and street kids from the 1970s. He discovered that there was a family ripped apart by an absence.

City of Bones

The case took Harry Bosch a lot deeper into the past. But then he found Julia who was a rookie cop and she brought him back into the present day like no other has ever done to him in so many years. Bosch was warned about dating a rookie but no warning could restrict the heat that he had for Julia. And then the case took a sharp turn which took Bosch by surprise.

It is a great book with an enjoyable story. However, the quality of narration was lacking in this audio novel and that is its only downside.
