He possesses a picture perfect person with a small family of two daughters the English teacher enjoys a comforting life.
The detective who arrests Maitland also knows him quite well but fails to stop the arrest because of the severity of the crime. Everything is against Maitland the DNA test, the fingerprints all lead to him and the case is so strong that he cannot escape the drastic result that would follow after it. The sudden change in the appearance of a simple teacher as a devil horrifies us and there are fear and tension throughout. Another important aspect of Stephen’s stories is also there i.e the sudden appearance of a mystery character that all of sudden appear on the scene and makes his appearance vital for all by highlighting different hidden aspects of the case that were previously left unattended by the police. Will Patton narrates the story exactly the way Stephen King wanted to portray it in the public like a high sensation drama.
