Karin Slaughter as an accomplished fictional writer has proved her worth already and much before the publishing of this book, Fractured: A Novel. There are plenty of novels to show and prove the class of Karin as a prolific writer. A couple of must listen novels from the author are The Good Daughter and Pretty Girls.
Fractured: A Novel is a mystery thriller. It is a mystery thriller with a very interesting story. It is made even more amazing through the narration of Kathleen Early, who literally created magic with her expressive and powerful voice. This novel is part 2 of The Will Trent Series.
Ansley Park is one of the finest localities in the neighborhood of Atlanta. A girl in a gleaming mansion there got brutally murdered. Her horrified mother is found in the hallway right in between the shattered glass. She had killed the attacker on her daughter with her own bare hands.
Will Trent, the detective from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is there just for some political reasoning. Trent visited there and saw something that the local police was still not able to see. He saw something there in the blood, something in the forensic evidence and also in the eyes of the mother, who was shell-shocked. It was just a matter of minutes that Trent took this case in his own hands. After getting a bit deeper in the case, he as sure that one more girl is missing and the murderer is on the loose.
Trent partnered with another female cop, who had a lot of reasons to hate him. Will Trent was having enemies all around him and this was making his job a lot tougher.
Excellent Listen, Love everything narrated by George Guidall. I am new to the books of Karen Slaughter and really enjoying this series. Thank you for offering them.
