The author really captures what it is like to leave a marriage with a narcissistic manipulator. There are so many things that Lilly says that I have said about my ex husband. Part of me wanted more realism in how conflicts often don’t get a resolution. The narcissist is not a compromising person and when held responsible for his/her actions it causes a fight response that does not end in taking responsibility for their actions.

While conflicts are resolved a little too easily, the story is a romance between 2 people that love each other to their very core. It is not a story about a woman’s journey after leaving an abusive marriage. I hope that all women that leave an abusive marriage find their Atlas.
